CHIM-FLEX Chimney Liner Systems
IMPROVE YOUR DRAFT TODAY.
Nearly
all heating appliances rely upon the draft created by a chimney
to operate. Many of todays high efficiency wood stoves are
particularly draft dependent due to their use of catalytic
combustors and secondary combustion chambers. Furthermore,
clean glass air wash systems are also dependent upon high
levels of draft in order to maintain the best fire viewing.
CHIM-FLEX chimney liners improve draft by properly sizing
the chimney to your appliance. Changes in the volume of a
venting system can have a detrimental effect upon draft. By
installing a CHIM-FLEX chimney liner, you create a constant
velocity flue. This means there is no change in the size of
the venting system for your wood stove from the exit point
of the stove to the exhaust point at the chimney liner cap.
CHIM-FLEX chimney liners also improve draft by containing
heat within the chimney liner. Hotter flues draft better.
By installing a CHIM-FLEX chimney liner, you create a venting
system that remains much hotter than a conventional masonry
chimney. This is enhanced when a high temperature insulation
layer is installed. By creating a constant velocity flue that
remains hotter than a traditional masonry chimney you have
a venting system that is ideal for venting your wood burning
stove.
REPLACE A CLAY FLUE TILE LINER ENTIRELY.
CHIM-FLEX 316L Stainless Steel chimney liners are tested
and listed by Underwriters Laboratories to function as a full
flue tile replacement. In a situation where no flue tile exists
and the masonry chimney structure is at least four (4) inches
thick, CHIM-FLEX 316L stainless steel chimney liner can be
installed with 1/2 inch of CHIM-WRAP insulation to bring that
chimney up to the National Fire Protection Association 211
code.
KEEP IT CLEAN, KEEP IT SAFE.
A CHIM-FLEX 316L Stainless Steel chimney liner is a venting
system for your wood stove that makes your home a safer place
by design. Performance of your wood stove is optimized through
enhanced draft. When your wood stove is operating at its best
creosote creation is minimized. Creosote condenses only when
it cools. The warm internal surface of your chimney liner
prevents creosote adhesion within the liner system. When you
combine reduced creosote creation and prevented creosote adhesion,
your have the cleanest and safest venting system available
for your wood stove. There is no better way to stop a chimney
fire then to prevent it before it starts!
PROTECTION WHEN YOU NEED IT.
CHIM-FLEX 316L stainless steel chimney liners are expertly
manufactured for structural integrity even under the worst
of conditions. CHIM-FLEX 316L stainless steel chimney liners
are tested and listed by Underwriters Laboratories to the
stringent UL1777 standard. This testing procedure requires
that an extended burn, simulating a tremendous chimney fire,
be contained. It also requires heat transfer from the extended
burn fire be minimized. Please see our installation instructions
for a complete description of insulation requirements.
316L stainless steel is our alloy of choice for the manufacturing
of CHIM-FLEX chimney liner for all fuel venting. We chose
316L because of its high level of strength under the most
extraordinary of heat conditions and its inherent high level
of corrosion resistance. We are so confident in both the quality
of 316L and our expert manufacturing that we offer our LIFETIMEplus
WARRANTY on CHIM-FLEX 316L stainless steel chimney liner when
it is installed to vent wood, gas, oil and coal appliances.
Please see complete warranty for further explanation.
